Memorial Day Parade Information

Please come out and join your teammates and other players from Southbury Soccer and march in the Southbury Memorial Day Parade. The club has a great tradition of marching in the parade. Here are the details:

Pick up is at Rochambeau Middle School at 9:45. Buses will shuttle participants to Pomperaug Office Park.
The parade begins at 11AM from Pomperaug Office Park and ends at the War Memorial.
Check with your coach to see if your team is marching together. Any player who's team is not marching can still come and march with a parent.
Wear your soccer shirt, shorts, and socks (no shin guards or cleats).
A family picnic will follow at Ballantine Park from 12-5pm.

Players, Parents & Coaches,

SSC announces travel soccer evaluations for the upcoming fall season!
All players that would like to play fall travel soccer should attend the evaluations.
The evaluation process will again be run by our professional trainers from Everson Soccer. Please find the appropriate date for your player below (the age group is for the age that your player will be in the fall. For example, all current U8 players need to attend the U9 Evaluation).

In addition, we will be offering a goalkeepers evaluation on Thursday May 30th.
Any player that wishes to be evaluated as a goalkeeper should attend this evaluation. This evaluation will be conducted by CTKeepers. All GK's should also attend the appropriate evaluation for their age group.

All evaluations will be held at Settler's Park. Every player should bring a soccer ball & water bottle. Players must wear shin guards and soccer cleats are highly recommended. Please try and arrive 15 minutes early so we get get each player registered.

If you have a scheduling conflict with your evaluation night it is very important to make arrangements to be evaluated on a different evening with a different age group. We cannot stress enough the importance of attending these evaluations. Even if you are not certain what your plans will be in the fall you should still attend the evaluations. Players that are not planing on playing on our A travel teams should also attend . The results of the evalautions are used to create all of our travel teams (not just the A team) and we also use the information to help with the placement of all of our teams into the appropriate leagues.

4:45 - 6:15 U10 Boys

6:15 - 7:45 U10 Girls

Thursday June 6th

4:45 -6:45 U11 Boys & Girls

All U13 players and older should contact their coach regarding their plans for the fall season.
